Global Ministries at New Covenant Church

We are excited as our church missions program continues to extend itself into unreached and unevangelized area of the world. (Read about why New Covenant Church has adopted the Mimi people in Chad.)

New Covenant, from its inception, has been very involved in foreign missions, both in a sending and supporting role. Our missionaries and foreign nationals are involved in various ministries ranging from teaching the deaf to preaching to the masses. About half of our missionaries are strategically located in the un-evangelized "10/40 Window."

We also have many short-term teams and individuals taking the Gospel around the globe. NCC missions enthusiasm extends from our youth all the way up to our seniors!

In the year 2001, New Covenant Church expanded its sphere of outreach through numerous short and long term mission efforts. We believe that God has many more new places and people to join our mission force for the new millennium!

Our missionaries are classified into several categories:

  • Some are NCC MISSIONARIES, which means that New Covenant is their home church and they receive regular financial support for their mission work.
  • NCC MISSIONARIES (Not Currently Deployed) are our church members who have a missionary calling and are actively involved in foreign missions though not presently on the field full time. They may be awaiting overseas deployment, be in transition between assignments, or be currently based Stateside for various reasons.
  • Our MISSIONARY FRIENDS are those who have a relationship with NCC but NCC is not their home church. We support them with prayer, communication, occasional visits, and perhaps some financial support and health insurance.
  • OTHER MISSIONARY FRIENDS - missions with whom we have an ongoing relationship and interest but does not fit all the criteria of either a Primary or Associate Missionary.
  • NCC SHORT TERM MISSIONARIES have a 3-9 month commitment, NCC is their home church and we may support them with some financial help and health insurance.

How can YOU help your missionaries?

Pray: Our missionaries need a continual prayer covering for their personal lives and ministry. Keep informed of their work and activities. Pray for their country of residence. Pray for them regularly, daily. Join in the scheduled missions prayer meetings. Sign up and commit to pray weekly for a certain missionary by joining a Missions Prayer Team.

Give: Our missionaries are supported from our church budget in various amounts, ranging from $100-$850 per month. This provides between 10-25% of their financial needs. They must raise the remaining funds themselves. Should you wish to support any of these mission efforts, send a check to New Covenant Church and attach a note designating the area or project you wish to support.

Go: There are many other ways we as a body can encourage and bless our foreign missionaries….plus many opportunities for YOU to be involved. You may want to go and "look on the fields" yourself. Let the Holy Spirit show you your part!
