The book of Hebrews instructs us not to forsake our assembling together with one another: Heb 10:25 But just meeting (assembling ourselves) together on Sunday mornings does not fulfill the need we have for fellowship – we were never meant just to "meet" - we were designed by God to fellowship with one another. Fellowship involves active participation, cooperation, contribution, partnership and ministry with one another. It is through on-going fellowship that we leave the "meeting" mentality and experience Christianity as a "way of life." It is during these times of fellowship that God uses us to minister to one another. Fellowship is very hard in large group meetings, when it comes to fellowship, small groups are best. At New Covenant Church, we believe that small groups are the ideal way in which to meet and establish fellowship with one another. It is out of this ongoing fellowship that the Kingdom of God is expressed in all our lives. Get "CONNECTED" with a small group this winter. Let God use you to "touch" the lives of others. |
